Many of you - I'm sure - know about the social networking site called Instagram! 

You post your pictures, get comments, comment on things, make tags so many people will see them. You get your pictures simply noticed.
One of the, many, pitbull people on there that I personally follow happens to be New York Bully Crew.  (click the link !)


They're one of the many amazing rescue groups that advocates for the pitbull community and they try to rescue as many as they can. Now you can imagine how many dogs they have and how many vet bills they have mounted up to in the process. Right now, they are providing care for a beautiful dog by the name of Parker. Parker suddenly fell ill and has been rushed to the vet, they still have no idea what's going on with her but she has to stay in their care. Now many pet owners know how expensive an over night stay alone is at the vet. Imagine how expensive that + exploratory surgery will be! Parker's bill is adding up and it's adding up quick. They recently posted a picture of their vet bill: 1600 is what they're looking at right now. :(

Many people hear the word, "pitbull" and reactions vary; some disgust, some in admiration. Mine happens to be the latter, but not only admiration. Respect; knowing how intelligent they are. (mine might be a little less.. but she's cute!) and how eager they are to prove to their owners how much they want to please them.

Pitbulls are extremely underrated, and extremely overrated. Ironic though, isn't it? Everyone knows about them, but only certain people truly understand them. Pitbulls are overly mentioned in the media, "Pitbull like dog attacks and mauls child"  Honestly? What about the Chihuahua down the street that everyone finds so cute because he bites and growls at my ankle? Why is that considered cute? 

Oh.
Because he weighs 6 pounds.
My point exactly - these dogs are muscle and mass and straight power; and in the wrong hands - the dog suffers.
This goes back to my point : They live to please their owners.
Even if this includes fighting ; protecting ; and dying.
